Polymer Modified Binder
B-380 is a polymer modified binder designed specifically for use in asphalt to form an integral part of a durable and sound asphalt mix with greater resistance against deformation characteristics such as wheel rutting, compared to asphalt mixes which use traditional standard grade bitumen.

B-380 binder is recommended for use in all Dense Grade Asphalt, Stone Mastic Asphalt and Open Grade Asphalt mixes.
B-380 binder has been developed by blending specialty polymers with harder grade bitumen. B-380 binder in an asphalt mix provides a combination of durability benefits to the asphalt that significantly improve both the performance and life expectancy of the mix.
B-380 has been proven to have excellent storage stability and is homogenous under prolonged hot storage conditions. This allows the binder to be transported and stored for lengthy periods at its utilisation temperature without any risk to the binder properties. B-380 has a greater resistance to oxidation than Multigrade binders (200% vs. 320 % under RTFO).
Unlike other polymer modified binder B-380 is not susceptible to phase separation during storage. The requirement to stir and circulate the B-380 is not regarded as a specific requirement during storage.
